As promised, another thrift stop in York and a suggested food stop you WILL appreciate! Heading north on route 1 past Kittery there is a community thrift shop called YCSA, run by the York Community Service Association. "It's an easy shop to run right by unless someone alerts you", I've said that too many times! Not a huge shop but the turnover is quick so there is always something new to see and that's a win. Upstairs you will find children and men's clothing. They also have 1 wall upstairs dedicated to holiday, always fun to check for that hidden vintage holiday piece. Downstair's has a limited amount of kitchenware and linens, plentiful glassware and women's clothing, a book room and a furniture room. Lots of odds and ends mixed in. We like that it is not a curated shop like so many thrift stops are becoming, we like the piles of things to search, lol. Pfaltzgraff? Yes. Blue Willow? Yes. Some other finds are pictured below. Always worth a stop with the benefit of supporting a worthy cause, YCSA provides support for York residents during difficult times, they also run a food pantry. Shop open Mon - Sat, 10 - 5 and Sun 12 - 5. Clean bathroom onsite. Dressing room available, located at 855 US-1, York, ME. Friendly staff. https://www.facebook.com/YCSAcommunity
Fuel up with food and gas - if you are heading here from Kittery or heading to Kittery from here be sure to stop by Anthony's Food Shop, another gem of a place. It's not your average gas station convenience store! Pre-made sandwiches & salads, pizza, baked goodies, a coffee bar and much more. I recommend the cheesecake <3. Stop to find something delicious and fuel up for more treasure hunting or bring home dinner. Open every day 6 am - 9 pm. Located at 679 US Route 1, York, look for the Shell gas station. Yes bathrooms. Tables to eat your goodies at inside and out. Helpful and kind staff here. https://www.facebook.com/anthonysfoodshop
